How a skateboard is built

A normal skateboard is made from a maple tree. Maple trees are cut down and sent through a processing plant. A handful of rectangular pieces of plywood are made out of tree. These strips of veneer are stacked to create the skateboard.

Once the sheet has been sent to manufacturers, veneer strips are thoroughly inspected. Any parts that are too imperfect to create a skateboard will be discarded or recycled. The veneer strips are classified into two types, one with the grain horizontally across the rectangle, and the other with the grain against the plate.

The metal parts are sent through a machine that applies the glue on the foil. This glue is typical, water-based wood glue. Keeps well after being removed from the press, and ensures that your board is not broken.

Once the glue in plywood, the pieces are stacked to create the beginnings of a skateboard. Almost all skateboard decks skateboard decks are seven layers. This simply means that seven coats of varnish were stacked to create the cover.

Then the veneer pieces are layered to give more strength to the board, with the first part of being a piece of plywood where the grain passes vertically along the board, and the second strip to be one where the grain runs horizontally.

After the sheet is stacked properly, is ready to go skateboarding in the media. Depending on what type of skate that is being created, the varnish layers will be processed on different machines. One form of the old school and new school form has to be pressed with different machines, since the nose and tail are completely different.

The press skateboard becomes flat strips of metal into something with a little more. Once pressed, the skateboard decks, allowed to dry for twenty-four hours or more. If the decks are not allowed to dry before proceeding, it is likely that the deformation and spin.

After drying, the covers are processed. Many skate manufacturers form a coating with a machine that uses a finished plate as a template to cut the excess wood from a skateboard.

Once the skate is reduced veneer pressing, eight holes are drilled for fixing the trucks. A machine similar to the previous device used for this. By using a single deck as a template, skateboard makers can create a lot of skateboard decks that are almost identical in shape and size.

After configuration of the deck, rails smoothed treble manually by a worker. Many skate manufacturers have a sanding drum that workers use to remove the sharp edge on the cover. This makes the deck seems cleaner, and also prevent injuries to skaters and other objects by removing the sharp edges of the cover. Rounding the edges can also prevent fragmentation if skateboard hits a wall or similar.

The deck is not complete without a graph. Skateboard manufacturers cover display graphics printing on a plastic sheet, then transfer the graphic to the board with the heat. The additional plastic is removed to display the graphic at the bottom of the deck.
